Chic in Silk
My favorite dress this week is Jenny Yoo "Mackenzie." It's a long, strapless bridesmaid's dress with a sweetheart neckline. There is a charmeuse band below the bust which creates an empire waistline. There is a released pleat from the empire waist that gives the dress a lot of movement. It has a column skirt which goes pretty much straight down - did I mention that it has pockets too?! Also, the dress comes with a detachable charmeuse rosette pin.
The fabric is eastern silk shantung which gives the dress a very rich look and feel and comes in 28 different colors. The fact that it's silk, a natural fiber, means that the dress is going to breathe and be very comfortable even on the hottest summer days. The shape is very flattering; for example, it will elongate a more petite woman's body and will also work to accentuate the curves on a tall and willowy woman.
Another great point is that Jenny Yoo also offers this dress in their bridal collection. It is a stunning alternative bridal gown that comes in two shades of white. This would be a perfect wedding dress for the beach or a garden wedding.
Plus Jenny Yoo currently has a promotion of 10% off all long dresses (bridal included) for the month of July. It's a wonderful dress and a great buy! Jenny Yoo is available at Twirl Scottsdale and Twirl Lexington.
