OUR HEART & MISSION
We believe in creating meaningful celebrations because that is where the joy of life exists.
We work hard, love deep, and strive to exude kindness in every aspect of our lives.
We are givers of grace because of the abundant grace we've been given.
We are grateful and humbled to uplift, encourage, and serve women on their journey towards cultivating meaningful marriages.
In the end, we believe what matters most is building a legacy of love and toasting to a life well lived.
Ty Slone McBrayer, Owner of Twirl + Co-Owner of Meant To Be Boutique
I am a lover of all things navy, Southern, and cozy. You can find me relaxing at home with my little family most of the time. Home is truly my happy place. I love a good glass of wine on the back porch and traveling just enough to make me appreciate home a little more each time. I am an introvert by nature but love getting to know people and cherish friends like they are family. I have a desire to make people feel loved, welcomed, and celebrated well.
I get asked all the time why I opened Twirl. I was 29 years old and had just spent three years of my life working in government followed by a year and a half in corporate marketing. I had been in a LOT of weddings at this point, but not married myself. I kept thinking how I would love to have a small boutique for brides in Lexington. I wanted a place that felt like home where brides could come to find the most special and beautiful dress they will ever wear. When I get something in my head that I want to make happen it takes hold of me. This idea took hold and became my passion project. I opened Twirl in November 2009 with the help and support of my fiance (now hubby), family, friends, and advisers that I couldn’t have done without. I truly think of Twirl as my first baby. It is a family business and I am thankful for each day and each customer that allows me to do what I love.
Liz Cox, Manager & Marketing Director of Twirl + Co-Owner of Meant To Be Boutique
I get really fired up by my gracious God, encouraging words, and celebrating life well. Get me on a back porch in the Springtime with a glass of wine in my hand & my people surrounding me and I’m one happy girl. I nerd out over the enneagram, have a deep love for the British Royals, and am a forever loyal fan to the Bachelor franchise.
I joined the Twirl team in August 2014 right after graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Family Sciences and a few years of running my own wedding photography/videography business under my belt. My creative eye & love for people have blended together perfectly in my role here at Twirl. I've been given the unique opportunity to cheer women on as they discover their true beauty as a woman & a bride by creating content that engages, educates, and encourages them as they journey through cultivating meaningful marriages.
I never in a million years thought this would be the path the Lord had for me. It just goes to show that He knows us better than we know ourselves and can create a life far greater than we could've dreamed of on our own.
