FALL in Love!

FALL in Love

Anyone else super excited about the air getting cooler and the trees changing into magnificently vibrant hues?! We are just dying to break out the boots & scarves… *sips pumpkin spice latte*.  With that being said, what better time of year to say ‘I do’ than this festive season full of prettiness and charm?! There is just something so enchanting about the fiery hues of autumn and how they complement the shades of brown so perfectly. Gold accents have never looked so stunning than when combined with the rich color palette of the harvest season. Celebrate your love for one another in this rustic fairytale setting full of vintage details that will capture your heart.

Our Jenny Yoo Bella dress is the focal point of this rustic autumn scene. The Bella features a scooped strapless bodice with a lace bateau neckline and a deep V back detail. The delicate scalloped edging creates a delicate look that fits right in with a countryside backdrop. The layers of lace fall asymmetrically along tulle and organza creating a full and playful skirt. Honey Heart Photography did an incredible job of capturing the beauty of this unique wedding dress.

Two of our Jim Hjelm Blush gowns looks like they were designed just for a fall styled shoot! Everything from the dainty lace cap sleeves to the English net straps are extremely fitting for this time of year.

Check out this fabulous bridal party wearing Lulakate . The rich fall colors go together seamlessly!

Our Jenny Yoo Brynne dress looks amazing in this Persian Plum color!

We absolutely love these fall arrangements made by Erica Svec, owner and head designer of Hide and Seek Design. Erica knows just how to create floral designs that coordinate perfectly with the theme of your big day. Whether you need flowers for a traditional, modern, rustic, vintage, or whimsical wedding, Hide and Seek Design can do it all!

I just adore seeing the warm color palette of fall used in a vintage country setting. There is just something so cozy and intimate about a ceremony held in an antique barn with tea lights strung across the ceiling. So tell your maids and men to bring their boots and let the fall festivities begin!
Happy Tuesday :)

A Black & White Affair

A Black & White Affair

“Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”

- Coco Chanel

Having trouble coming up with the perfect color scheme for your wedding day? Why don’t you take Coco Chanel's advice and choose a perfectly simple -yet dramatic- black & white palette! You can’t go wrong with this sophisticated theme that is both modern and timeless. Your big day will be, without a doubt, a celebration to be remembered.

Above is an elegant bouquet of anemones, with their true-black centers, is cinched with a black and white striped ribbon.

Draw attention to the white dress by adding a black ribbon or sash. (If you'd like your guests to follow the same black and white theme for their attire, suggest or include those requests on the invitations.)

Dive into the details with dinner napkins wrapped in black lace ribbon. Your guests will appreciate the intricate details expressing your own personal style.

(TIP: When choosing the venue for your black & white themed wedding, it is important to pick reception and wedding locations that do not contain competing colors - Keep it simple!)

Cute idea for wine lovers! Dress your wine bottles with table number labels that mimic shirt cuffs.

Adding pops of pink and red to the setting's décor is a fun way to bring attention to your clean and simple color palette.

Color of the Year- Emerald!!

Instead of featuring one Dress of the Week, we decided to focus on the Color of the Year, Emerald!  Emerald is a gorgeous color that looks great with almost all hair colors and skin tones.  Pantone innovators describe Emerald as, "a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."  What better way to bring in this shade of green than adding it into your Big Day!  The Dessy Group offers TONS of styles in different fabrics and shades of green!  Check out some of our favorite Alfred Sung styles!

Love more than one dress style?  No problem!  Alfred Sung is PERFECT for mixing & matching!  All of their dresses come in 2 fabrics (Dupioni-Raw Silk or Peau de Soie-Taffeta), that each come in a shade of Emerald!  Most of these dresses can come short or long.

The Dessy Group is also home to a few other lines that feature other fabrics, mainly Chiffon & Satin options.  All of their dresses come in a variety of different colors, including green! Below you will find one of our new favorite Chiffon gowns featured in Shamrock!

Jenny Yoo also offers fabulous styles in this shade of green!  Jenny introduced a new Social Collection this Spring, below you will find some of our personal favorites!

Mix & Match in between these two styles! You can do the same mix & match with the next two dresses as well!

And finally, one of Twirl Lexington's favorite designers, Lynn Lugo, can make all of her dresses in the Pantone Color of the Year!  Lynn truly captures southern charm in her collection, and her ad featured in Martha Stewart Magazine last spring was a complete show-stopper!

A recent Twirl Lexington bride was ahead of the trend and had her girls in this gorgeous color for her December nuptials.

We hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek into the Color of the Year.  Set up your appointment today (859-309-2493 or ty@twirllexington.com) to come and see all of the Emerald possibilities!
