It is an exciting time at Twirl Lexington this week!  The dress we are featuring was just on the cover of the Tops in Lex magazine unveiled on Thursday!  Check out the link and pick up the magazine in Lexington:  http://www.virtualonlinepubs.com/publication/?i=33700.

Jenny Yoo's Dylan Dress in Emerald

The gorgeous emerald green bridesmaid dress by Jenny Yoo is one of our favorites this season.  The “Dylan dress” in eastern silk shantung features the popular one shoulder silhouette and a slimming pencil skirt and is available in a variety of great colors.   It is definitely not your typical bridesmaid dress!  The Jenny Yoo Collection is available at Twirl Scottsdale and Twirl Lexington locations.

In honor of our Lynn Lugo Trunk Show this weekend at Twirl Lexington, we are featuring the “Sam” dress in Sunshine Shantung ($270).  This dress has a very classic silhouette, but the button and ruffle detail give it that something special that all brides are looking for in bridesmaid dresses!  Best of all…we can totally see this dress gracing the Spring meet at the horse races or at the perfect summer party.

We love this purple bridesmaid dress by Lela Rose ($290)!  This chiffon dress features a square neck line that perfectly frames any face.  The details on this bridesmaid dress are amazing.  The ruffle and button detail give it a bit of flair and elegance all at the same time.  The addition of the satin belt to cinch your waist is the icing on the cake.  Lela Rose is available at the Twirl Lexington and Twirl Chandler locations.

Since we are having a Amsale trunk show at our Chandler location, I chose Amsale style G454C as my pick of the week! It is a chiffon ruffle halter shown in the color ocean. I chose this dress because halters look great and flatering on so many people. The ruffle halter is so cute and I love how flirty the look is! The fabric is flowy and light so it would be comfortable to wear all day long and its perfect for those summer weddings coming up. It’s a simple, great look to go for and it feels as though it could be worn again and again! This dress can be found @ our Twirl’s Chandler location.

From Melissa Sweet’s 2010 line, the MS409 is such a dream! The floral detail on the bust is adorable and really adds an unexpected, delicate twist to this dress.  It is full length and crinkle chiffon, which makes it so light and ethereal. Not to mention it will be so comfortable to wear all throughout the ceremony and reception! (The straps make it easy to wear, too!) It’s also very flowy – which means that it will be very “forgiving” in areas that your girls might worry about! Perfect for a spring or summer wedding!

How cute and fun is this dress! Aside from the color being amazing (majestic), you just can’t go wrong with a cute halter. I have seen many differnt body types try on this dress… and it looked great on them all. The fabric is a simple peau de soie, which for this designer is similar to a dupoini. Even if done in a bold color (like  this purple), I still feel as though it is a dress that can totally be worn again. Add some fun, sassy shoes to the mix and you are complete.

This dress is by designer Alfred Sung and retails @ our Chandler store for $154.

Since we are having a Jenny Yoo trunk show this weekend at our Scottsdale location, I chose the new Piper dress, from the JY Spring 2010 collection, as my pick of the week! Being a big fan of all the Jenny Yoo styles, this was a tough decision. There are several reasons why I love the new Piper dress. For one, the scoop neck is flattering without revealing too much up top and the seamed bodice is a subtle detail that adds so much to the dress! And we cannot forget the adorable, pleated, tulip shaped skirt (pockets included). Another nice feature is that the short waist sash is not attached to the actual dress, so you have the option of not using it if you choose. Whichever way you decide to wear it, your girls will look fabulous in this new, silk shantung dress, priced at $300, which is available in a large variety of colors! Come check it out at the trunk show this Friday – Sunday!

(Had to show the dress on a person so you can see just how CUTE it really is)! :)

Simple, stylish and chic! Peyton (style # 0902) has it all going on! This new Pineapple Silk Shantung Coren Moore dress is my dress of the week and a must for any occasion! From being a bridesmaid to attending a reception, it has a beautiful silhouette that will compliment any body type while also providing enough coverage! Not only does it come in Silk Shantung, but it can also come in cotton sateen and seersucker! Plus it has the ability to tie in the back, front and even on the side, making it versatile and so cute! AND it has pockets!

Priced at $285, it’s definitely worth the extra cost towards looking fabulous and unforgettable!

Though Coren Moore is featured in our Chandler location, today only at Scottsdale, we are hosting her new line! Coren Moore truly has a unique style that combines elegance with simplicity! We also are having a cocktail party from 4-7pm! So come ready to mingle and talk weddings!

My dress pick for this week is by one of our Scottsdale designers, Jim Hjelm. It is a dress from their new Spring 2010 line and is being featured at our trunk show taking place this weekend at our Scottsdale location (January 8th-10th). I choose this dress (style # 5002) because it’s a fun party dress with a little bit of a twist. The sweetheart neckline is very flattering and the squares of rouching on the empire waist are a unique detail I just love! It’s also nice because the material, silky taffeta, is lightweight and a new material from Jim Hjelm. Best of all it has pockets!

This stunning Vera Wang dress (style # 24M09) is a perfect choice for any type of wedding. The pencil skirt offers a business formal look that can be worn on more than just your wedding day. I particularly like the knotted shoulder which adds an asymmetrical look to the dress. This satin dress is available in three two-tone colors as well as full navy and full black. At a price of $230, this dress is definitely a catch!

This week was my pick and I didn’t even have to think about it! The Dessy Group (style #2756) is a hands down pick for me. The first time I was in the Chandler store after all the dresses had been hung up, this dress just jumped out @ me. Now, it could have something to do with the fact that this dress has a pattern on it (which is not as common in bridesmaid dresses), but either way… I just can’t get enough.

Now, if I were to order this dress, I would go with the pattern shown in the picture! I think it is so fun! But the best part about this dress is that it is available in 34 other solid colors and two other prints! Amazing! It is a stretch charmeuse fabric which is thicker than regular charmeuse (thank goodness) but not as heavy as satin. It is flowie and light, but has boning @ the top to help keep the structure of the dress in tact while also helping hold it in place as you dance the night away.

I am in love! Again, it is designed by the Dessy Group, style # 2756 and retails for $210.00!

Happy Holidays!

My pick for dress of the week is by designer Priscilla of Boston, style PB311.  I love the floral detail on the neckline with just the sweetest amount of crystal jewels.  The full pleats make this dress fun and flirty.  I imagine it would look great on a bridal party in a vineyard or garden.  The dress retails for $248.00.

We are introducing Friday’s Dress of the Week. Every Friday one of our Twirl Girl’s will choose a favorite dress to share with you!

My dress pick of the week is the gorgeous Priscilla of Boston dress, Style#PB216 in Coral Cotton Tricotine. The sleeveless bateau neckline and full skirt looks flattering on so many different body types. A previous customer of mine tried this on last week and I wanted to buy the dress right there, on the spot!

This dress would look great whether dressed up or down and comes in many colors. With a price of $248, it is definitely worth purchasing, especially since you could wear this style to so many different events!
