The trend of wearing the same color bridesmaid dresses and different styles has been around for awhile and is here to stay. Recently though, I have seen some of our brides doing just the opposite, choosing the same style dress but different colors. I love this idea. In fact I originally wanted to do the same thing for my wedding over 10 years ago. It's fun to see what brides are pulling together and creating with this idea in mind when at Twirl. What I've seen that works best is when brides stick to a different shade of the same color, or different colors but still on the same side of the color wheel. Most designers set up their swatch cards in this sort of fashion. Which is a good place to start.
Some examples we have seen are one bride had her girl's all wear different shades of blue, from light to medium to dark. Another choose all different pale colors. And my recent favorite picked three dresses in shades of blue/green. She choose the beautiful Amsale dress style G426C shown below in the colors hydrangea, pacific, and ocean. She is going to keep the bouquets in a simple cream wrapped with twine. I can't wait to see her pictures. It is going to look amazing.
