What To Expect & How To Prepare!
Let’s be honest, he had barely gotten up off his knee and placed that beautiful bling on your finger before the wedding bells started ringing in your head and visions of white gowns began flashing before your eyes! Your very own fairytale has begun to unfold as you search for the dress of your dreams!
Here at Twirl, we want to make this experience relaxing, memorable, and everything you’ve ever imagined – We have prepared a list of tips & other suggestions to keep in mind before arriving at your appointment.
1. Plan Ahead
Call ahead to book a private appointment so we can ensure you receive the individual attention you deserve while searching for “the one”! Appointments last one hour, so be sure to arrive with plenty of time to avoid feeling rushed. Keep in mind, our bridal gowns are not made until they are ordered – delivery times range from 4-6 months, which is why it is important to start your search early! However, if you are pressed for time, most of our designers offer a rush delivery (for an additional fee) and we also have some beautiful off-the-rack gowns.
2. Do Your Research
Search the Internet and flip through bridal magazines to get an idea of what you’re looking for. Pictures help give us an idea of the style & feel you’re going for (We know you’ve spent plenty of hours pinning away, so feel free to share your Pinterest boards with us!)
3. Cha-Ching
Figure out how much you want to spend, and be prepared to share this with us before we start pulling gowns. This way you won’t lose your heart to a dress that is out of your price range.
4. Limit Your Entourage
Bring loved ones whose style you admire & advice you appreciate. For the best experience, bring 1-3 people – our bridal suite has limited space, PLUS having too many opinions can be overwhelming and confusing (remember this scene?!)
5. Dress Up Time!
In your own personal fitting suite, your bridal consultant will assist you in trying on the gowns you’ve selected.
(TIP: a strapless bra is helpful!)
Next, you will be escorted into the room across the hall where your entourage can ooh & ahh (or shed a few tears) at the lovely gown you’re modeling.
When trying on the selected gowns, we will ask what you like about certain dresses, as well as what you don’t like. This allows your consultant to narrow down the selection and focus your time together on trying on dresses that match your needs.
6. Accessorizing
Your consultant will help accessorize the gown depending on your own personal style and preferences. We have a beautiful selection of bridal belts, veils, headpieces, and other accessories that will add the finishing touches to your dress.
6. Yes To The Dress!
When you have found your dream wedding dress, that ultimate gown that must be yours for your wedding day – we will get you measured up to decide on the perfect size to order! We will place the order with the designer and give you an estimated time frame on when you should expect to receive your gown!
